We got a wood stove and we love it. You can cook meanwhile you are heating your home or vice versa. It gives you that kind of "archaic" feeling our ancestors must have experienced. It feels good.
I once both cooked on and heated my home with wood. It is a lot of work however it is the best heat, really warm, the wood burning feels like a living creature. My cooking was never tastier. And even when electricity goes out, one can be warm and fed. This is a cute stove.
